✅Rebuilding this Totaled SUV with a Laser Like Precision
In this video I will demonstrate the use of the laser to get all of the replacement panels on this totaled Mazda CX-5 to line up just as they were before the accident. Most people don't know that you can use just about any self leveling laser to measure out the damage on the vehicle down to a millimeter. It's actually really simple and in this video I'll show you how I do it. This technic can be used to line up suspension, frame and and just about any panel on any car, truck or an SUV. Knowing this is a must for anyone that wants to learn auto body.

I got this totaled 2021 Mazda CX5 from Insurance Auto Auction (Copart) This vehicle got hit pretty good, where it sustained damage to both of the frame rails and a strut tower. All of it had to be pulled back out on my homemade frame rack. There was a fair bit of challenges that I had to overcome.     i would worry about anywhere the copper touched the pump base the vibration would wear a hole in the copper

    The only thing I would do different, would have been to treat the inside of the tank with phosphoric acid, or zinc paint to retard any rust. Fantastic job. I am making one just like it. Thank you.

    I was thinking of buying a new compressor, but after viewing this video I think I will build my own. I’m looking at a 3 cylinder Puma pump with 22 SCFM and a new motor. I also like the cooling coil in the 5 gallon bucket but not real sure if the water will stay cool enough so I might go with a large oil cooler in front of the flywheel.

    The motor does not put out 5 hp. The peak ratings are 230 V @ 14 A. That means the peak power is 3220 watts. 3220/745.7=4.318 hp peak. Nominal output is going to be in the neighborhood of 3 hp. This the stupid game that compressor mfg play.

    I suggest you should go with Anest Iwata air compressor, it's a Japanese company but is made india. This is the best pump you would get in market

    Great job! The only suggestions I could come up with is a safety cage around the moving pulleys as well as bolting the tank down to something so that vibrations don't send it off kilter. You might also want to secure your electrical connections a bit better. But, really cool solution.

    Got yourself a new subscriber. Gonna have to check out this and other videos! I'm all set in the compressor areas. My brother-in-law saw to that! He built me a 5hp Quincy! I was planning on going this route with a cheap pump. However, he had a few parts laying around that become a whole compressor.
